This guide provides step-by-step instructions for configuring pay types based on employees' job grades. Before you start, ensure that job grades have been assigned to employees in their career progression details. Once ready, follow these steps to set up the pay type:
1. Navigate to Payroll > Settings > Pay Types.
2. Click the "Create" button under New Pay Type to create a custom pay type, or select an existing pay type to edit.
3. In the pay type settings, set the Amount Type to Fixed and enable the option to Set amount based on Job Grade.
4. Click "Add New Job Grade", then specify the fixed allowances for each job grade as needed.
5. Review and adjust the remaining pay type settings, then click "Save" to confirm your changes.
Once the pay type is assigned to employees, the system will automatically adjust the pay amount based on each employee’s job grade. Note that while the fixed amount can be updated, the job grade settings for the pay type will be locked and cannot be edited.
