Setting Up and Managing Unpaid Leave Sync Options

Unpaid leave can now be synced to payroll either automatically or manually, based on your company's workflow preferences. The steps below outline how the settings can be configured.


1. Go to Leave > Leave Settings > Other Settings.


2. Under Unpaid Leave Sync Setting, choose one of the following options:


Automatic Sync (Based on Payroll Period)

  • Automatically syncs all unpaid leave within the payroll period.
  • This option is ideal if you prefer seamless syncing without additional steps each payroll cycle.


Manual Sync (User-Triggered)

  • Gives you control over when unpaid leave are synced.
  • Users select a date range and sync during the payroll run.
  • Ideal if you prefer reviewing entries before they affect payroll.




Syncing Unpaid Leave Manually


If you choose Manual Sync, a Sync Unpaid Leave button will appear in the payroll module after a payroll run is created.


1. Open the relevant payroll.


2. Click More Actions > Sync Unpaid Leave.


3. Choose the date range for the unpaid leave you want to include in the payroll, then click Sync Unpaid Leave


You can also sync unpaid leave for a specific employee:


1. Locate the employee's payslip.


2. Click More Actions next to the payslip and select Sync Unpaid Leave.
