If an employee’s salary changes within the same month and they work overtime during that period, the system allows you to apply different hourly overtime rates based on the salary change. This ensures overtime pay is calculated fairly for each period.
Follow the steps below to enable and use this feature:
1. Go to Payroll > Settings > Other Settings.
2. Tick Enable multiple hourly rates for pay items based on employee career progression.
3. When processing payroll, simply add the hourly-rated pay item and click Set Period next to it.
Enter the overtime Hours corresponding to each salary rate period.
Important Notes
In the Bulk Edit screen, only the latest salary progression for that month will be shown. Earlier adjustments will not appear there.
Make sure to enable this option before running payroll, otherwise the system will not split the overtime rates automatically.
This setup ensures overtime is calculated correctly for employees who have more than one salary rate in the same payroll month.
